PacketProof
PacketProof is a web + desktop app that helps network teams pinpoint the exact hop and policy that breaks connectivity—without turning every incident into a multi-hour war room. You deploy a lightweight agent (or container) on a few strategic hosts and run guided “path tests” that combine traceroute-like probing with DNS, MTU, TCP handshake, TLS, and HTTP checks. Results are stored as shareable incident reports with a timeline, hop-by-hop evidence, and a plain-English summary for non-network stakeholders. It’s realistic: it won’t magically see inside every ISP core, and it can’t replace full NPM suites. But it can drastically reduce time-to-triage for common failures (ACLs, asymmetric routing, PMTUD blackholes, DNS misroutes, proxy/WAF issues, certificate problems) by standardizing tests and capturing proof before the issue disappears.
