PackProof

PackProof is a web app (with optional desktop plug-ins later) that automatically audits packaging dielines and artwork before they go to prepress. Users upload PDF/AI files and get a clear pass/fail report: bleed, safe zones, barcode scannability, minimum type/line weights, overprint/knockout issues, spot color naming, ink coverage limits, and missing fonts/linked assets. It also flags common structural mistakes like mismatched cut/fold layers and inconsistent dimensions across panels. The app generates a printer-ready checklist and a shareable link for approvals between brand, agency, and converter. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules catch deterministic issues; AI helps detect “looks wrong” problems (e.g., text too close to folds, confusing panel hierarchy) and suggests fixes. It’s not a full design tool—it's a quality gate that reduces costly reprints and delays.
