PackProof

PackProof is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that reduces the most common outdoor trip failure: missing critical gear. Users pick an activity template (day hike, backpacking, climbing, paddling), then enter trip specifics (weather, duration, group size, water availability, permits). The app generates a packing list, then uses a simple “proof” flow: scan barcodes/QR labels you place on key items, or confirm with quick photo checks, to mark items as actually packed. It flags high-risk omissions (headlamp, stove fuel, first-aid, layers) based on conditions and suggests substitutions if you don’t own something. It also supports shared group lists so one person doesn’t assume another packed the essentials. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps tailor lists and risk warnings, but the core value works without it.
