PaintProof is a mobile AI + AR app for DIY decorators who are tired of wasting money on the wrong paint, trim color, or wall accent. You scan a room, then virtually apply paint colors, peel-and-stick wallpaper patterns, and simple trim layouts with realistic lighting and edge detection. The app is deliberately narrow: it focuses on “decision confidence” for a few high-impact choices (paint, accent wall, trim, and basic art placement) rather than trying to be a full interior design suite. It also generates a shopping list with exact quantities (paint gallons, primer, rollers, tape) based on measured wall area and suggests a minimal step-by-step plan. Monetization is straightforward: freemium previews, paid “pro renders,” and affiliate links to paint/wallpaper retailers. It will not replace a designer; it just helps homeowners avoid expensive trial-and-error.
