PaleoProof

PaleoProof is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps paleo/primal eaters avoid “ingredient landmines” when shopping. Users scan a barcode or label photo and get a clear verdict: paleo, borderline, or not paleo—plus the exact ingredient(s) that triggered the result (e.g., soybean oil, maltodextrin, carrageenan). It also supports user-defined strictness profiles (Whole30-style, primal with dairy, no seed oils, low-FODMAP-ish) because “paleo” is not one rulebook. The app saves your safe list, flags reformulations, and suggests cleaner alternatives available at major retailers. This is an AI + traditional app: AI handles label OCR and ingredient normalization; rules and user profiles handle the final decision logic. It’s not a meal planner; it’s a shopping accuracy tool that reduces decision fatigue and accidental non-compliance.
