PanelPals

PanelPals is a mobile + web app that helps kids (7–13) create short comics from their own drawings and simple typed dialogue. Kids snap a photo of a sketch, the app auto-crops panels, cleans up lines, and suggests speech-bubble placement and readable fonts. It includes kid-safe templates (3-panel, 6-panel, strip), a guided “story beats” wizard (setup, problem, twist, ending), and one-tap export to PDF/print or a private family link. Parents/teachers get a dashboard to manage classes, approve sharing, and download batches for newsletters. This is an AI + traditional app: AI is used only for panel detection, line cleanup, and layout suggestions—not for generating full stories that could drift into unsafe content. The focus is making kids’ existing creativity look polished without turning them into passive consumers.
