PanelProbe

PanelProbe is a desktop app (Windows/Linux) plus a lightweight USB-C/HDMI dongle workflow that helps technicians and IT teams quickly isolate where a display problem actually is: GPU, cable, dock, monitor, EDID/HDCP, refresh-rate mismatch, or firmware quirks. It runs automated tests (EDID read/compare, link training stats where available, signal integrity heuristics, color/refresh validation, HDR/VRR negotiation checks) and generates a plain-English report with a recommended fix list and parts to swap first. It also maintains a known-good baseline library per monitor model and dock, so teams can spot “this unit is weird” fast. This is not magic: many issues are hardware-only. The value is reducing guesswork, unnecessary RMAs, and time wasted swapping random components.
