PanicBudget

PanicBudget is a mobile + web AI app that helps people who feel fear, shame, or panic around money make one small, safe decision at a time. Instead of generic budgeting, it detects “anxiety moments” (late-night doom scrolling, bill notifications, bank balance checks) and routes users into a 3-minute guided protocol: calm the body, name the fear, then choose a single action (pay minimum, schedule payment, message creditor, freeze spending category for 24 hours). It connects to bank accounts to surface only the next relevant number (e.g., “You can safely pay $42 today”) and hides the rest to reduce overwhelm. The app includes a “Fear Ledger” that tracks triggers, thoughts, and outcomes, turning avoidance into measurable progress. It’s not therapy, but it is behavior design for financial anxiety—built for people who can’t stick to traditional finance apps because their nervous system hijacks them.
