PantryBatch

PantryBatch is a mobile + web app that helps home cooks and small food businesses track grains, rice, flour, and pasta with batch-level freshness. You scan a receipt or barcode, then the app assigns a “best quality by” window based on the product type, packaging (paper, plastic, vacuum), and your storage conditions (pantry, fridge, freezer). It generates a simple “use-next” queue and recipe suggestions that prioritize what will degrade first (e.g., whole wheat flour, brown rice). It also flags high-risk items for pantry pests and suggests preventive steps. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to parse receipts, infer product variants, and recommend storage and usage plans; the core tracking is deterministic and reliable. It’s realistic, but adoption depends on making input nearly effortless.
