PantryPulse

PantryPulse is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that turns your real pantry, fridge, and weekly store deals into a practical family meal plan. You scan receipts or barcodes, or import grocery orders, and the app maintains a “what’s on hand” inventory with expiration nudges. It then generates a 5–7 day dinner plan optimized for: picky eaters, time limits, budget, and minimizing food waste. Unlike generic recipe apps, it focuses on repeatable family staples and realistic prep flows (batch cook, leftovers, school-night speed). It also creates a consolidated shopping list that only fills gaps, and can suggest cheaper swaps based on local circulars. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI for planning and substitutions, traditional logic for inventory, lists, and reminders. Brutal truth: it only works if inventory stays accurate, so the UX must make updating nearly effortless.
