ParkScout

ParkScout is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard for operators) that helps drivers find legal, available parking near their destination while reducing ticket risk. It combines live curb-rule interpretation (street sweeping, loading zones, permit hours) with availability signals from public curb datasets, participating garages, and anonymous user reports. Users enter a destination and time window; the app suggests a few high-confidence blocks/garages, explains the rules in plain language, and sets a “move-by” alert to prevent overstays. This is not magic: coverage will be uneven city-to-city, and accuracy depends on data partnerships and user density. The MVP should focus on 1–2 cities with good open data and high parking pain. Monetization is a freemium subscription for drivers plus B2B leads/booking fees from garages and private lots.
