ParkSentry
ParkSentry turns an old spare phone into a low-cost parked-car security camera. Mount it on the rear window or dash, keep it plugged into a power bank/12V adapter, and it records only when motion or impact is detected. If someone bumps your car, vandalizes it, or sideswipes while parking, the app automatically saves a protected clip, captures the clearest frame, and sends an alert to your main phone with time/location. It also supports a simple “evidence pack” export: video, stills, and a short incident summary you can share with insurance or police. This is not magic: it won’t read every plate in the dark or through glare, and it depends on placement and power. But for apartment lots and street parking, it’s a practical upgrade without buying a dedicated dashcam.
