ParkSentry

ParkSentry is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that turns an old spare phone into a discreet, motion-triggered “parking dashcam” when you’re parked. You mount the spare phone facing outward (or leave it on the rear deck), plug it into power, and the app records short clips when it detects motion, vibration, or door-handle tug patterns. It automatically uploads encrypted clips to the cloud so evidence survives even if the phone gets stolen. The app also creates a time-stamped incident report you can share with police/insurance, including location, clip highlights, and a simple timeline. This is not a magic anti-theft device: it won’t stop pros with signal jammers or tow trucks, and it won’t replace a real alarm/immobilizer. It’s a practical, low-cost way to increase the chance of usable evidence and faster claims for everyday break-ins.
