PartLedger is a mobile + web app for DIYers and small shops to manage aftermarket parts like a real inventory and paperwork system. Users scan receipts/labels, log install date, mileage, VIN, and where the part was purchased, then the app automatically tracks warranty windows and common return requirements (photos, packaging, core return deadlines). It also stores fitment notes (what actually worked, what didn’t) and links each part to the job it was used on, so you can prove purchase and installation details when a supplier pushes back. The app focuses on the messy reality: parts bought across multiple retailers, lost emails, unclear warranty terms, and disputes. It’s not trying to diagnose cars; it’s trying to prevent wasted time and money when parts fail, don’t fit, or need to be returned.
