PassPilot

PassPilot is a mobile + web app that tells riders which fare product (single ride, day pass, weekly/monthly pass, fare-capping equivalent) will cost the least for their actual travel pattern. You connect your transit account when possible (or upload trip history / manually log taps), and the app simulates what you would have paid under each available option, including peak/off-peak rules, zones, transfers, and caps. It then recommends what to buy next and when to switch (e.g., “don’t buy a weekly pass yet—wait two more rides”). This is not magic: it only works well in cities where fare rules are published and/or trip history can be imported. The MVP focuses on a handful of agencies with clear rules and strong rider volume, and expands city-by-city as data quality allows.
