PassPredict

PassPredict is a mobile + web app that gives highly reliable, hyper-local satellite pass predictions for hobbyists and field teams who need to know when a satellite will actually be visible from a specific spot. Instead of generic “over your city” alerts, it uses precise location, elevation, local horizon masking (trees/buildings), and weather/sky transparency to estimate whether you can realistically see the pass and when to start looking. Users can track common targets (ISS, Starlink trains, NOAA, CubeSats) and get a simple “worth going outside?” score. It also includes a quick calibration flow: point your phone at your skyline to map obstructions, improving future predictions. This is not a magic “AI finds satellites” gimmick; it’s a practical planning tool that reduces wasted time and missed passes for people who care about reliability.
