PatchNotes
PatchNotes is a web app (with optional Google Docs and Microsoft Word add-ins) that turns editing into an auditable workflow. Instead of vague “tracked changes” chaos, it forces each change into a structured log: what changed, why it changed (grammar, clarity, tone, factual, style-guide), and who approved it. It generates a clean “editor’s report” for clients and teams, plus a diff view that’s readable for non-editors. It also includes an AI-assisted suggestion layer that proposes edits but must be categorized and justified before being applied—reducing reckless auto-rewrites. The core value is accountability: editors can prove their work, clients can understand it, and teams can resolve disputes quickly. It’s built for professional editing where trust, traceability, and repeatability matter more than flashy rewriting.
