PatchPilot

PatchPilot is a web app that orchestrates OS and package patching for IaaS virtual machines across AWS, Azure, and GCP with minimal downtime and fewer surprises. It inventories instances, groups them by risk and maintenance windows, then runs pre-flight checks (disk space, kernel compatibility, service health) before applying patches. It snapshots/creates machine images for rollback, drains traffic from load balancers, patches in waves, and verifies post-patch health via configurable probes. The app produces audit-ready reports (what changed, when, who approved, and proof of success) and pushes alerts to Slack/Teams. This is not “magic AI ops”; it’s disciplined automation plus guardrails. AI is used narrowly: to summarize patch impact, generate change tickets, and suggest safe rollout plans based on prior outcomes. The goal is fewer emergency CVE scrambles and less manual SSH patching.
