PatchPilot

PatchPilot is a web app + GitHub/GitLab app that turns dependency upgrades into controlled, low-risk changes. Instead of spraying Renovate/Dependabot PRs everywhere, it runs your real test suite in an isolated matrix, captures runtime signals (failing tests, flaky tests, performance regressions), and only promotes updates that pass a policy you define. It groups related upgrades into “safe batches” (e.g., all minor updates for a service) and automatically generates a human-readable change brief: what changed, why it’s safe, and what to watch in production. For teams with weak test coverage, it can optionally add AI-assisted “smoke tests” to reduce obvious breakage, but it won’t pretend to guarantee correctness. The goal is fewer broken builds, fewer surprise rollbacks, and less time wasted babysitting dependency PRs.
