PatchPilot

PatchPilot is a desktop + mobile companion app that focuses on the most common real-world malware entry point: unpatched software and risky browser extensions. It continuously inventories installed apps, browser add-ons, and OS versions, then prioritizes what to fix based on active exploitation signals (e.g., widely exploited CVEs, known malicious extensions, and suspicious side-loaded installers). Instead of pretending it can “stop everything,” it gives a short, actionable daily list: update these 3 apps, remove this extension, disable this setting, and verify this download. It also adds a lightweight “download receipt” feature: when you install something new, PatchPilot records source, signature status, and hashes so you can quickly roll back and investigate if the machine starts acting weird. It’s not a full endpoint suite; it’s a pragmatic patch-and-hygiene copilot for normal people and small teams.
