PatchPilot
PatchPilot is a desktop-first IT tool (Windows desktop app + small web console) that automatically tests Windows updates and third‑party app updates against your real enterprise software stack before you roll them out. It spins up disposable virtual machines, installs the pending patches, runs scripted “smoke tests” (launch apps, open key files, login flows, print/PDF, VPN, SSO), and flags likely breakages with reproducible logs and screenshots. It then generates a rollout recommendation: block, stage, or deploy, plus a plain-English incident brief you can hand to leadership. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional automation for deterministic tests, and AI to summarize failures, cluster similar issues, and suggest which app/version combinations are risky. The goal is fewer surprise outages, fewer helpdesk tickets, and faster patch compliance without gambling on production machines.
