PathPaws is a web + mobile app that streamlines surgical biopsy and cytology submissions from veterinary clinics to reference labs. It replaces messy paper requisitions and incomplete histories with a guided, diagnosis-specific intake that forces the right fields (site, size, margins, fixation time, prior meds, photos). The app prints a compliant specimen label and packing checklist, then tracks chain-of-custody, shipping status, and lab receipt. An AI layer suggests missing details and flags common errors (wrong container, no formalin volume, mismatched patient IDs) before the sample leaves the clinic—reducing rejected samples and delayed results. Clinics get a dashboard for pending cases, turnaround times, and “why delayed” reasons, plus templated client updates. Labs can optionally expose a lightweight portal/API for status updates without rebuilding their LIS.
