PathProbe

PathProbe is a web app (with an optional lightweight JS snippet) that audits your product’s navigation by replaying real user paths and flagging where people get stuck, loop, or abandon. It combines traditional analytics with AI-assisted pattern detection to surface “navigation smells” like ambiguous labels, hidden routes, excessive backtracking, and menu overload. Instead of dumping charts, it outputs a prioritized punch list tied to specific screens and user segments (new vs. returning, mobile vs. desktop). It also generates quick, testable recommendations (rename label, reorder items, add shortcut, reduce depth) and lets teams run simple A/B checks to confirm improvements. Brutal reality: it won’t magically fix bad IA or product strategy, and it can’t replace proper user research. But it can make navigation problems visible fast and keep them from shipping repeatedly.
