PathPulse

PathPulse is a web + lightweight desktop agent app that pinpoints bandwidth drops and latency spikes across real user paths, not just synthetic pings. It runs scheduled traceroute/MTR, TCP/UDP jitter tests, and throughput checks from branch devices, servers, and optional user endpoints, then correlates results with ISP, ASN, hop changes, and time-of-day patterns. The output is a “blame-ready” report: evidence that the issue is Wi‑Fi, LAN congestion, firewall inspection, ISP peering, or a specific transit hop. It also tracks baseline performance per site and alerts only when deviations are statistically meaningful to reduce noise. This is not a full NPM suite; it’s a focused tool for teams who need fast, defensible answers for escalations and SLA disputes without buying a massive platform. Expect some setup friction (agents + permissions), but the value is in shortening outage war rooms.
