PawProof is a mobile app that helps shelters, vets, and good Samaritans identify lost dogs and cats using a photo-based “visual fingerprint” instead of relying on microchips (which are often missing, unregistered, or unreadable). Users snap a few guided photos (face, coat patterns, scars/markings), and the app searches a local/regional database of reported lost/found pets. Owners can pre-enroll their pets with verified contact methods and optional vet/shelter verification to reduce scams. For found pets, the app generates a shareable “Found Pet” card with location, time, and safe contact relay. The goal is not perfect AI magic—just a fast, practical match shortlist plus human confirmation workflows that materially improves reunification rates. Monetization is B2B subscriptions for shelters/vet chains plus optional owner premium for enhanced alerts and enrollment verification.
