PawRecall

PawRecall is a mobile + web AI app that helps pet owners and pet businesses react fast to pet food, treat, and supplement recalls. Users scan barcodes or upload a receipt, and the app builds a private “pantry” of what they’ve bought, including lot codes when available. When a recall or safety alert hits, PawRecall matches the alert to the user’s saved products and sends a clear, actionable notification: whether they’re affected, what symptoms to watch for, and what to do next (stop feeding, contact vet, refund steps). For pet stores, groomers, shelters, and small clinics, it adds a lightweight customer notification tool: opt-in lists, recall broadcasts, and a simple incident log for “who was contacted and when.” Brutal reality: lot-code data is messy, and many products won’t be perfectly matchable. The MVP should focus on high-confidence matches (UPC + brand + product name) and be transparent about uncertainty. The value is speed, clarity, and reducing panic—without pretending it’s a medical device. Monetization is primarily B2B (small retailers/shelters) plus optional premium consumer features like multi-pet profiles and expanded alert sources.
