PayFriction

PayFriction is a web app that pinpoints why customers fail to complete payment and what to fix first. It plugs into Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, and Shopify/WooCommerce to collect decline codes, 3DS outcomes, latency, device/browser signals, and step-by-step funnel events. It then groups issues into actionable buckets (issuer declines, 3DS friction, address/AVS mismatches, wallet availability, network timeouts, UX errors) and quantifies revenue impact per bucket. The product is intentionally not a “magic” auto-fixer; it’s a pragmatic diagnostic and experimentation layer that helps teams prioritize changes that actually move authorization rate and conversion. It also provides a lightweight incident view for payment spikes, plus simple A/B recommendations (e.g., reorder payment methods, retry rules, 3DS exemptions, local methods).
