PayGapWatch

PayGapWatch is a web + mobile app that helps social security recipients and caseworkers detect, document, and escalate missed or reduced benefit payments. Users connect a bank account via read-only access or upload statements, then the app flags anomalies (late deposits, partial amounts, unexpected stoppages) against an expected payment schedule. It generates a simple “issue packet” with dates, amounts, and supporting evidence that can be submitted to an agency portal or printed for in-person visits. An AI assistant translates agency letters into plain language, suggests the likely cause (verification lapse, address mismatch, eligibility review), and provides a step-by-step checklist tailored to the user’s program and location. This is not a magic fix: it won’t speed up bureaucracy by itself, but it reduces the time spent proving there’s a problem and helps users act fast before rent, food, and utilities spiral.
