PCRProof

PCRProof is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that helps plant genetics labs validate PCR/qPCR primer sets and genotyping assays before ordering or running experiments. Users paste primer sequences, target gene IDs, or amplicon coordinates for common plant genomes (e.g., Arabidopsis, rice, maize). The app runs in-silico checks: predicted amplicon size, off-target hits, SNP/indel overlap against selected cultivar panels (when available), melting temperature consistency, secondary structure red flags, and multiplex compatibility warnings. It generates a clean, shareable “assay card” with versioning, notes, and links to lab inventory/ordering. This is not a magic discovery tool; it’s a practical guardrail to reduce failed reactions, ambiguous bands, and wasted reagents. The product lives or dies on reliable genome references, fast search, and a workflow that matches how real labs document assays.
