PeakClamp

PeakClamp is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for small-to-mid commercial buildings that get punished by demand charges but don’t have a full-time energy manager. It connects to interval meter data (utility Green Button where available) and common building systems (thermostats, BMS via BACnet gateway, smart plugs, EV chargers) to forecast the next 15–60 minutes of demand and recommend the cheapest actions to stay under a target kW threshold. It focuses on “operator-ready” playbooks: pre-cool by X degrees, stagger rooftop units, delay EV charging, shift dishwasher/laundry cycles, or temporarily cap noncritical circuits. It logs what was done, estimates savings, and produces a simple monthly demand-charge report for finance. It’s not magic: without controllable loads and decent data access, savings will be limited, and onboarding can be the hardest part.
