PeakLedger
PeakLedger is a web + mobile app for small-to-mid commercial buildings that get hammered by demand charges but don’t have an energy manager. It connects to interval meter data (utility Green Button or aggregator feeds) and optionally to a few common controllable loads (smart thermostats, water heaters, EV chargers, battery inverters). The app forecasts tomorrow’s likely peak windows, then gives a simple “playbook” of actions ranked by dollars saved and operational risk. For sites without controls, it focuses on scheduling and alerting: pre-cool/pre-heat, stagger equipment start, shift EV charging, and avoid coincident peaks. It produces an audit-friendly “savings ledger” showing what actions were taken, what peak was avoided, and the bill impact—useful for property managers and for internal approval. It’s realistic: it won’t promise magic savings where loads are inflexible or data is messy.
