PeakPatcher

PeakPatcher is a web + mobile app for small commercial sites (and advanced homes) that want demand-charge and TOU savings without hiring an energy manager. It connects to smart thermostats, EV chargers, batteries, and a few common building controls, then builds a simple “allowed comfort/operation window” policy (e.g., pre-cool 10–2, pause HVAC 4–6, charge EV after 11). The app forecasts tomorrow’s price and peak-risk using utility tariffs and local weather, then schedules flexible loads to avoid the monthly peak while keeping user-defined constraints. It produces a plain-English savings report, alerts when a device isn’t following the plan, and suggests the next best device to add for more flexibility. This is not magic: if you have no controllable loads or your tariff is flat, savings will be limited—and the app will say so upfront.
