PeakPilot

PeakPilot is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for small-to-mid commercial buildings that reduces electricity demand charges by forecasting and managing peak load. It connects to existing interval meter data (utility Green Button where available) and common BMS/thermostat APIs to predict tomorrow’s peak windows and recommend simple actions: pre-cool/pre-heat, stagger HVAC starts, shift EV charging, and reschedule flexible loads. The app focuses on “good enough” control: it starts as recommendations and alerts, then can graduate to limited automated setpoint adjustments for customers who opt in. It provides a clear dollar impact view (demand charge avoided, kWh shifted) and a weekly playbook for facility teams. It’s realistic: it won’t magically cut bills without operational buy-in, and it won’t work well where data access is blocked or loads aren’t flexible.
