PeakShift helps households and small businesses reduce electricity costs by turning complex time-of-use pricing into simple, actionable schedules. Users connect their utility account (where supported) or upload bills, then enter the appliances they control (EV charging, water heater, HVAC, laundry). The app generates a realistic “shift plan” showing what to run when, expected savings, and tradeoffs (comfort, noise, convenience). It sends reminders and integrates with smart plugs/thermostats where available, but it still works as a manual planner if you have no smart devices. The honest reality: savings vary widely; if your tariff is flat or your usage is already efficient, it won’t be dramatic. The app focuses on measurable, low-effort changes and avoids gimmicky “AI will cut your bill 50%” claims by showing confidence ranges and explaining assumptions.
