PermitLedger is a web app (with an optional mobile companion) for public administration teams to track, audit, and improve permit and license workflows across departments. It ingests status updates from existing systems (or simple CSV uploads) and turns them into a single, time-stamped “chain of custody” for each application: who touched it, when, what was requested, and what caused delays. The app surfaces SLA breaches, repeat rework loops, and handoff bottlenecks with simple dashboards that non-technical managers can act on. It also generates defensible audit trails for public records requests and internal reviews without forcing agencies to rip-and-replace their core permitting software. This is not a magic automation tool; it’s operational visibility and accountability that most agencies currently lack, delivered with minimal integration burden and clear ROI tied to faster turnaround times and fewer escalations.
