PermitPal is a web + mobile app (traditional + AI) for small-to-mid cultural festival organizers who struggle with permits, vendor paperwork, insurance certificates, and deadline sprawl across emails and PDFs. Organizers create an event workspace, select their city/venue type, and get a realistic checklist of required filings (noise, street closure, food handling, alcohol, fire marshal, public assembly) with due dates and responsible owners. Vendors and performers receive a link to upload documents; the system validates completeness (not “approval”) and flags missing fields, expired COIs, and mismatched names. An AI assistant reads uploaded PDFs to extract key dates, policy limits, and license numbers, then auto-fills forms and reminders. The app also generates a “compliance packet” to share with city officials and venue partners. This is not glamorous, but it removes the admin burden that routinely delays or kills community festivals.
