PermitPaws is a mobile + web app that helps exotic pet sellers, buyers, and rescues verify legality before an animal changes hands. The app maps species to jurisdiction rules (country/state/county/city where available), then generates a simple “can I own/sell/ship this here?” answer with citations and a checklist of required permits, vet certificates, microchip/ID, and transport constraints. It also provides a compliance profile for each user (seller/buyer) and a transaction record that can be shared with marketplaces, veterinarians, and inspectors. An AI layer extracts species details from listings/photos, flags likely mislabels, and highlights high-risk species (invasive, CITES, venomous, protected). This is not a marketplace; it’s a compliance gate that reduces accidental illegal sales and the costly seizures, fines, and animal welfare disasters that follow.
