PermitPilot

PermitPilot is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that simulates how permitting and inspections will impact construction timelines and cash flow. Instead of generic Gantt charts, it models real-world variability: jurisdiction-specific review cycles, resubmittal probability, inspection lead times, and seasonal staffing slowdowns. Users import a project schedule (Primavera/MS Project/CSV), select location and permit types, then run Monte Carlo simulations to produce probabilistic completion dates, critical-path risk drivers, and “most likely delay causes.” It also includes a lightweight scenario builder to test mitigation options like expediting, phased permits, alternate jurisdictions, or resequencing work. This is not a full project management suite; it’s a focused risk simulator that outputs clear, defensible forecasts and a short action list for PMs and owners. Expect imperfect data at first—value comes from structured assumptions and learning from outcomes over time.
