PermitPilot

PermitPilot is a mobile + web route planner for commercial drivers and small fleets that focuses on compliance-first navigation. Instead of “fastest route,” it prioritizes legal and feasible paths based on truck attributes (height, weight, hazmat class, axle count) and local restrictions (low bridges, weight limits, hazmat tunnels, time-of-day truck bans). Users enter vehicle specs once, then plan multi-stop routes with a “risk meter” that flags segments likely to cause tickets, forced detours, or denied access. The app also supports pre-trip checks: it generates a printable/shareable route summary for dispatchers and drivers, and logs route decisions for audit/insurance disputes. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps normalize messy restriction data and interpret text-based municipal rules, but routing remains deterministic and explainable so drivers trust it.
