PermitPilot

PermitPilot is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that standardizes and accelerates local permitting by turning messy, department-specific requirements into a single, trackable workflow for applicants and reviewers. Cities configure permit types (building, signage, events, right-of-way) with required documents, validation rules, and review steps. Applicants upload once, see exactly what’s missing, and get real-time status updates instead of endless calls and emails. Reviewers get a queue, SLA timers, and structured comment templates that reduce back-and-forth. An AI assistant can pre-screen submissions (e.g., missing forms, mismatched addresses, incomplete fields) and draft applicant-facing deficiency notices, but final decisions stay with staff. The product is realistic: it doesn’t “replace” legacy systems on day one; it starts as an intake + status layer that integrates via email/API exports, then expands into deeper integrations once proven.
