PermitPilot

PermitPilot is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps homeowners and DIYers figure out what permits, inspections, and code-adjacent requirements likely apply to a planned project—before they waste money or get red-tagged. Users enter their address, project type (deck, water heater, fence, EV charger, bathroom remodel), rough scope, and photos. The app generates a realistic checklist: probable permits, typical inspection stages, common failure points, ballpark fees, and a document pack (scope summary, simple drawings templates, materials list) they can take to their city/county portal or contractor. It also tracks deadlines, schedules reminders, and stores photos/receipts for resale documentation. It won’t pretend to be a lawyer or an inspector; it flags uncertainty and pushes users to confirm with the local authority. The value is reducing “unknown unknowns” that cause delays, fines, and rework.
