PermitPilot

PermitPilot helps DIYers and small contractors figure out what approvals they likely need before starting a home project. You enter your address, project type (deck, shed, bathroom remodel, fence, electrical swap), rough dimensions, and whether you’re changing structure or utilities. The app returns a plain-English checklist: probable permits, typical inspection stages, common red-flag triggers, and links to the correct local pages/forms. It also generates a “permit-ready” scope summary you can paste into an application, plus a materials/plan checklist tailored to your jurisdiction. This is not a magic legal guarantee—cities vary and rules change—but it reduces the most common failure: starting work, getting flagged, and paying rework or stop-work penalties. It’s a web + mobile app with a light AI layer to translate messy municipal rules into usable steps.
