PermitPing

PermitPing is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps contractors, small developers, and homeowners track local permit applications across multiple jurisdictions and proactively manage delays. Users create a permit “case” with address, scope, and jurisdiction; the app pulls status updates from available public portals, email notices, and user-entered milestones, then flags when a review is stalled beyond typical timelines. It generates a clear checklist of missing items (e.g., plan set, fees, inspections) and a communication log for calls/emails with the permitting office. An AI assistant can summarize correspondence, draft polite follow-ups, and extract required corrections from reviewer comments. This is not a magic “get permits faster” tool—many cities have messy data and slow processes—but it reduces avoidable back-and-forth and keeps projects from going dark due to missed steps.
