PermitPing

PermitPing is a mobile + web app that prevents parking tickets by translating messy permit rules into clear, time-based alerts. Users add their home/work zones (or scan a street sign), store permit info, and get notified before restrictions start (street cleaning, permit-only windows, event closures). The app focuses on “last-mile certainty”: it cross-checks city open data, crowdsourced updates, and your calendar to warn you when you’re at risk. It also keeps a ticket log and provides dispute templates with the right ordinance references and evidence checklist. This is not a magic ‘find free parking’ app—those are crowded and unreliable. Instead, it targets the boring, expensive problem: people who already park in the same areas but keep getting nailed by changing rules, temporary signs, and confusing schedules.
