PermitPivot

PermitPivot is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps utilities, plant owners, and regulators track the real-world progress of fossil-fuel retirement and conversion projects through the one thing that never lies: permits and filings. It ingests public permit dockets, environmental agency databases, and local planning documents, then normalizes them into a single timeline per facility (air, water, land use, grid interconnect, demolition, remediation). Users get status, deadlines, missing documents, and risk flags (e.g., permit appeal filed, remediation scope change, contractor bid delays). It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to extract key fields from messy PDFs and classify permit stages, but all outputs are auditable with source links. The goal is boring but valuable: fewer surprises, fewer delays, and defensible reporting for boards, investors, and communities.
