PermitPocket
PermitPocket is a web + mobile app that helps tiny/small-home builders and homeowners figure out what they can legally build on a specific parcel and what permits they’ll actually need. Users enter an address/APN, intended use (ADU, primary, RV/tiny on wheels, backyard studio), and basic specs (sq ft, foundation type, utilities). The app returns a plain-English checklist: likely zoning constraints, minimum setbacks, height limits, utility requirements, and a step-by-step permit path with required documents. It also generates a “permit-ready” packet template (site plan checklist, neighbor notice list, inspection schedule) and tracks tasks, deadlines, and fees. This is not a magic approval button: it’s a workflow and documentation assistant that reduces rejections and delays by forcing the right questions early and producing consistent paperwork. Monetization: subscription + per-jurisdiction add-ons + contractor teams.
