You enter your address, select what you’re adding (smart locks, cameras, doorbells, alarm panels, low-voltage wiring, PoE runs, exterior lighting automation), and the app generates a realistic checklist: likely permits, common code constraints, placement do’s/don’ts, and the exact photos/receipts you should keep for claims or resale. It also tracks device serials, installer info, and maintenance dates in one “home tech binder.” This is not a magic permit-filing service; it’s a practical compliance and documentation assistant that reduces rework, fines, and failed inspections. The AI component summarizes local requirements and flags risky setups, but it’s transparent and cites sources.
