PermitPulse

PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that streamlines distribution grid modernization paperwork: interconnection applications, make-ready work, pole attachment coordination, and municipal permits. Utilities and contractors lose weeks to email chains, missing documents, and unclear ownership; this tool replaces that with a structured, timestamped workflow, required-document checklists, and a single source of truth per project. It ingests common utility forms (PDF/Word), extracts key fields, and tracks milestones like site walk, design approval, traffic control plan, and inspection scheduling. It also provides an audit trail for regulatory reporting and dispute resolution. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for document intake, validation, and summarization, but decisions remain human. Realistically, it won’t “solve” capacity constraints at utilities, but it can remove avoidable administrative churn that slows projects down.
