PermitPulse

PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for cities and regional development agencies to measure and reduce permitting delays that choke housing and small-business growth. It connects to existing permit systems (or imports spreadsheets) and turns messy workflow data into a clear queue map: where applications stall, which steps cause rework, and how long each reviewer takes by permit type. An AI layer classifies free-text comments into standardized “delay reasons” (missing documents, zoning variance, fire review, etc.), flags repeat offenders, and suggests policy/process fixes based on patterns—not magic predictions. The product is intentionally unglamorous: dashboards, SLA tracking, and weekly “blocker reports” that department heads can act on. It also publishes a public-facing transparency page (optional) showing median timelines and improvement over time, helping rebuild trust while pushing internal accountability.
