PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps homeowners and small contractors predict renovation permitting requirements, fees, and realistic timelines by address and scope. Users enter an address, pick project types (bath remodel, deck, ADU, electrical panel, etc.), and the app returns a permit checklist, likely inspections, typical review durations, and common rejection reasons for that jurisdiction. It also generates a submission-ready document pack outline (what drawings/forms you’ll need) and a simple schedule that accounts for permit lead times. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for jurisdiction rules, AI to interpret scope descriptions, flag missing details, and draft plain-English narratives for permit applications. It’s not magic—data will be incomplete in some cities—but even a “directionally correct” forecast saves weeks and prevents expensive rework.
